Fire Alarm Technician

Position Overview
The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role aims to ensure the proper functioning of fire safety systems to protect lives and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure fire alarm systems according to specifications and codes.
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with NFPA standards.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on fire alarm systems to address any issues or malfunctions.
  • Document service and inspection reports accurately and maintain records as required by regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to clients regarding fire alarm systems and safety practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to fire protection and fire alarm systems.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in fire protection or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Certification from NICET or similar relevant certification is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients and field teams.
