We are looking for the very best to join our AAA 4-Diamond Hotel, featured in the Top 10 of all Meeting Hotels in the United States per Cvent.

We are seeking a Café Attendant to join our team and play an essential role in creating a welcoming and satisfying dining experience for our colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Service & Presentation: Prepare, replenish, and maintain an appealing buffet and à la carte options for the colleague cafeteria. Ensure food is served fresh, attractively presented, and in compliance with food safety standards.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive service to colleagues, addressing any inquiries about food options and dietary needs.
• Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary cafeteria environment, including dining areas, service stations, and kitchen prep areas.
• Inventory Management: Monitor food supplies, beverages, and utensils, and coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely restocking.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary and stewarding teams to ensure smooth cafeteria operations.
• Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.50/hr. This is the pay for this position that Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego reasonably expects to pay.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; Food Handler’s Certification is a plus.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for colleagues.
